In our nutrition unit in Consumer Family Studies class last week, our class learned about how having (nutrition, protein, carbohydrates etc.) in our daily meals it will be good for our health. And also with that we will fulfill our needs for each part of your healthy pyramid. To prove that you can throw in some nutrients in to your favorite meals, my group and I found a recipe that does include your daily needs! To gather more of our knowledge we did packets and fun papers that talk about healthy eating and balanced meals. I’ve learned a lot from those packets and assignments. In the middle of the week my group and I researched recipes that have our daily needs such as (protein, fats, grains, fruits etc.) Soon we found a recipe that worked, which was “Mini Apple Pies”, we made a list of what ingredients we need to buy and how to make to recipe reduce any fats or change them into something else healthy.
After we found our delicious dessert we went right to our kitchens to make the apple pies. The end result was amazing it tasted just like an apple pie but the secret is, it’s healthy!
