After researching and analyzing their diets, 8th Graders found that many teens are not getting the nutrition they need. Students often skip meals because they don't know how/what to cook or they choose foods that are fast and convenient, but not very healthy. Here you'll find recipes chosen for the digital cookbook and re-designed by our 8th Graders. Students chose recipes that provide important nutrients like protein for building muscles and complex carbohydrates for long-lasting energy. As a bonus, each recipe has 400 calories or less per serving and has 10 grams of fat or less per serving. In the coming weeks, students will be choosing 1 of their recipes to make in our classroom test kitchen. Stay tuned for more!
